UnfairChess is an online chess game. No webcam, no image and no biometric data is used.

If you create an account, we keep your username, your sign-in identifier (via Google), your ELO rating and your game history, solely to run the game and the rankings.

No data is sold or shared with third parties for commercial purposes.

UnfairChess sells digital content that has no effect on the outcome of games: piece skins, boards, sounds, capture animations, and wheel tickets (used to draw cosmetic hats at random), grouped in packs such as the Exclusive Pack. A pack is a one-time purchase tied to your account, and can only be bought once per account. The price is shown before you pay, in the purchase window.

Payment is handled by Whop (whop.com), which collects the price, manages any applicable VAT and processes your payment details. UnfairChess never sees your full card number and does not store any card data.

The content is delivered immediately after payment. For consumers in the European Union, the 14-day right of withdrawal can be lost once you have asked for immediate delivery of the digital content and acknowledged that you lose this right. Where this acknowledgement is requested before payment (currently on the French version of the site, with a checkbox), it applies to that purchase. If you believe you are entitled to withdraw from a purchase, write to the contact address below.

If a payment is fully refunded or disputed with your bank, the pack is removed from your account and the tickets it contained are taken back (never below zero). For any question about a purchase, write to the contact address below.

This site only uses the cookies required for sign-in (session). No advertising tracking cookies.

UnfairChess is open to everyone, with no age restriction to play. Creating an account involves signing in with Google and collecting personal data (username, sign-in identifier, rating, game history). Below the legal age of digital consent in your country (15 in France), creating an account requires the agreement of a parent or legal guardian.
