Slumber
An opponent's piece of your choice falls asleep: it can't make a normal move (castling included) until either king has been put in check. A card can still move it.
Universal Queen
One of your pieces (rook, bishop, or knight) slides like a queen, in a line or diagonally, without ever capturing.
Poisoned Piece
One of your pieces becomes poisoned. If the opponent captures it with a normal move, their capturing piece is destroyed along with it — unless it's their king, always spared.
Double Rook
The same rook slides twice in a row. It can capture on each slide.
